HARRISBURG – During a ceremony held today in honor of a Milton war hero at Milton State Park, a PennDOT highway sign was unveiled, officially designating the United States Army Specialist Zachariah W. Long Highway, said Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder). The highway covers an approximate 12-mile portion of road from State Route 642 and State Route 54, through Northumberland and Montour counties.

WHAT: Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) will name a portion of highway as the “United States Army Specialist Zachariah W. Long Highway,” during a ceremony she is hosting this Saturday, April 21. Long, a former Milton resident, was killed in 2003, at age 20, in Iraq while participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
