Veterans Assistance Liaison in Sunbury District Office May 1, Says Culver

SUNBURY – Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) has announced that Randy Nosal, a department service officer with the American Legion, Department of Pennsylvania, will again be in her Sunbury district office to assist veterans with their questions about benefits and to help file claims.

Nosal will be in Culver’s district office, located at 106 Arch St., Sunbury, on Wednesday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. He is scheduled to be at the Sunbury office on the first Wednesday of every month to offer these services, and can assist with the following issues:

  • Compensation and pension claims.
  • Education benefits.
  • Enrollment in the VA health care system.
  • Burial and survivor benefits.
  • State benefits.
  • Assistance with obtaining military personnel and medical records.

“This is exciting news for area veterans,” said Culver. “By having Mr. Nosal in the office once a month, veterans now have a direct link between their needs and available resources.”

Culver operates a full-time district office in Sunbury at 106 Arch St. The office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
