Culver Invites Senior Citizens to Expo on July 27 in Sunbury
SUNBURY – Residents ages 55 and older and their caregivers in the 108th District are invited to attend Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver’s (R-Northumberland/Snyder) Senior Expo on Thursday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Shikellamy High School Cafeteria. The high school is located at 600 Walnut St. in Sunbury.

“I look forward to another successful Senior Expo this year, where we are able to connect our aging population with representatives from helpful organizations, businesses and agencies in our area that are here to help improve their overall quality of health and happiness,” Culver said. “Besides making sure our seniors know about the resources that are available for them, my staff and I will be on hand to talk with residents about any state-related issue.”

Nearly 50 vendors are expected from local organizations, businesses and agencies to provide beneficial information to area seniors. Free health screenings, including blood pressure, stroke, sun damage, foot health and balance will be available. Fall assessments, hearing aid cleanings, bone density heel scans and video otoscopy will be set up as well.

Door prize drawings will be available, and lunch refreshments will be provided by the event’s main sponsor, Heritage Springs Memory Care. Sunbury Community Hospital will be providing totes to the first 250 attendees.
