Senior Citizens Invited to Expo on July 28 in Sunbury, Culver Says
SUNBURY – Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) is inviting residents ages 55 and older in the 108th District to her Senior Expo on Thursday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will again be held at Shikellamy High School’s cafeteria. The school is located at 600 Walnut St., in Sunbury.

“This annual event provides area seniors and their caregivers with an opportunity to connect with those who seek to serve them within our community,” Culver said. “The expo is a great way for seniors to learn about programs and services that are available for them, right here in our area.”

More than 60 vendors will join together to provide important information for area seniors at this year’s Senior Expo. Representatives from county, state and federal agencies, as well as local businesses and organizations, will be in attendance. Several free health screenings will be available, specifically those involving, posture analysis, lipid, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, bone density, fall assessment, stroke and video otoscope.

RSVP is not required, and there is no admission fee to attend this event. Door prizes will be awarded. Refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Evangelical Community Hospital. The first 300 participants will receive a free tote bag, courtesy of Geisinger Health System.
