Farmers Breakfast Scheduled for Feb. 17
SUNBURY – Those involved with agriculture throughout the 108th District are invited to attend Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver’s (R-Northumberland/Snyder) annual Farmers Breakfast. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 9-11 a.m., at the Front Street Station, located at 2 Front St., in Northumberland.

The special guest at this year’s event is U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta (R-Luzerne), who represents residents of the 11th Congressional District. In an effort to provide a comprehensive legislative update, Barletta will join Culver to discuss agriculture-related issues being considered at the federal level.

“Agriculture plays a significant role in the 108th District and is a vital part of making it Pennsylvania’s No. 1 industry,” Culver said. “We have a lot of dedicated men and women in our area who either work in the agriculture field, or have a strong tie to it. This event is an informational forum for those people to ask questions and have their voices heard.”

Culver asks those interested in attending this year’s Farmers Breakfast to register before Feb. 10, by calling her office at 570-286-5885, or toll-free at 1-800-924-9060.
