Culver Invites Public to Child Protection Seminar on April 27
4/17/2015
SUNBURY – In an effort to provide further detail about the new state child protection laws that are taking place, Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) invites the public to attend a Child Protection Seminar.

The seminar is being presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and will be held on Monday, April 27, at 6 p.m., at the Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, 967 Mile Hill Road, in Sunbury. The church is located next to Pomfret Manor Cemetery, and attendees should use the lower entrance.

“This is a free event for local residents to become more familiar with the new requirements for employees and volunteers who work with children,” Culver explained. “Information about background checks, child abuse clearances and mandated reporting will be covered in the seminar.”

Individuals from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services will be available to answer questions about the state laws.
