Annual Farmers Breakfast Scheduled for Feb. 27 in Northumberland, Culver Says
SUNBURY – Those who work in, or are involved with the agriculture industry throughout the 108th District, are invited to attend Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver’s (R-Northumberland/Snyder) annual Farmers Breakfast.

Culver announced this year’s event will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, from 9-11 a.m., at the Front Street Station, located at 2 Front St., in Northumberland. Acting Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding will join Culver at her event to discuss current state agriculture issues.

“We have a large number of people involved in agriculture in our area, and I think it’s important to meet with those individuals to hear their thoughts on the issues that are affecting them and their farms,” Culver explained. “Since farming is such a large part of the economy in the 108th District, it is important that our agriculture secretary hear directly from our farmers.”

This legislative event is made possible by several area community sponsors. Contact Culver’s district office located at 106 Arch St., in Sunbury by calling 570-286-5885, or toll-free at 1-800-924-9060 to RSVP.
