Veterans Assistance Liaison in Sunbury District Office June 5, Says Culver

SUNBURY – Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) has announced that Randy Nosal, a department service officer with the American Legion, Department of Pennsylvania, will again be in her Sunbury district office in June to assist veterans with their questions about benefits and to help file claims.

Nosal will be in Culver’s district office, located at 106 Arch St., Sunbury, on Wednesday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. He is scheduled to be at the Sunbury office on the first Wednesday of every month to offer these services, and can assist with the following issues:

  • Compensation and pension claims.
  • Education benefits.
  • Enrollment in the VA health care system.
  • Burial and survivor benefits.
  • State benefits.
  • Assistance with obtaining military personnel and medical records.

“Mr. Nosal comes to our office once a month, and provides our veterans with a direct link between their needs and available resources, and I have been impressed with the number of veterans coming in to take advantage of this service,” said Culver.

Culver operates a full-time district office in Sunbury at 106 Arch St. The office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
